Let me begin this small chapter of someone's life categorized under "Forbidden Fruit" After several hours of running errands in town passed noon I stopped by a hot dog stand on the side of the road only to satisfy my hunger while I head home and prepare. The young lady attendant was not that busy and knowing me I started a small chit chat just to be sociable and friendly I never thought that my small engaging conversation will willingly uncover a very secret chapter of this young woman's life and the she for some reason needed to share and talk to someone without throwing the first stone and recriminate her. I carefully listened and tried to understand her point to do what she did. She told me that she had been married to a good man, good husband, good provider, honest hard working person, for 14 years, 2 teen age boys from previous marriage, that her husband treated as his own, she said in her own words "I did not have complaints about him if any probably he was too good to me and my children" One day, Celeste (that's her name) as she was going to meet with girlfriends for lunch, she had car problems, her vehicle refused to run any longer so, she pulled over call for assistance and one of her girlfriends came to pick her up to go to the restaurant where the rest of them were celebrating Gloria's Birthday everybody happy in between food and drinks a "tall well build guy, dark waive hair, flirting but enigmatic green beautiful eyes, immediate charisma, smell very masculine (pheromones?), properly dress, great glow almond skin, deep manly but, enchanting voice" approached to the table to ask the ladies "if everything was as expected and if they need anything else", he also introduced himself as "Fernando", from that moment on, Celeste was taken by such sample of the opposite sex, and SEX is what they committed every chance they could. Needless to say that, all of the ladies at the table except for Gloria were married, only Gloria was "engaged and soon to walk down the aisle and yet, Celeste said that everyone was attracted to this guy for whatever reason however, and according to Celeste she was the only one that crossed the lines of faithful love and commitment to her husband and marriage. Fernando was the restaurant floor manager and recent transplant from Washington Estate, the sex affair, lasted about 8 months and because in Celeste words "the sex was so good" she decided to leave her hubby and move in with Fernando a 42 years old never been married soon after she move in, Fernando lost his job and Celeste got legally divorced her kids moved in with her parents, all this within the last 2 years and she got a job at a Hot Dog Stand by the road. Fernando ended up to be very abusive and lazy he no longer "try to get a job". The luster of that physical attraction had become nothing more than a distant memory, Celeste started to cry when she refer that her family and some of "those girlfriends" passed judgment on her, the embarrassment and grief was so unbearable that she tried to commit suicide cutting her wrists, not successful went into the hospital and psychiatric help, Celeste told me that, she was determine to step out of that sick relationship and start all over again. Looking at her a young woman full of life physically but, something gone inside her soul except, when she was relating the part of the restaurant when she first lay eyes in Fernando, it was like a different person I could see her happiness now at the end of our chat she was devastated, tired, as if she got the weight of the world on her shoulders, I begged to her not to attempt again against herself because, in my humble opinion she has no right to to do so none of us has, we are God's Creation and only He has the last word about our existence. Yeah! I know what are you thinking, all customers requests for a hot dog and a soda were properly cater, as for me and my time, I was very glad that, I was there for her when she needed to talk, generosity not always has to be in Cash. Celeste promised me that she would not attempt against her life ever again however, I have been by that place again and she is no longer there her number is disconnected.
